I Love Malaysian Designer Charity Event

Last Tuesday, a friend of Catwalk&Hanger had invited us to a charity event she had organised. Fashion for a Cause was a fashion auction event which consist of a few Malaysian designers and in accordance with the purpose of supporting Malaysia Red Crescent Society. There were seven talented local designers who took part in this charity event, which includes our friend herself, the talented designer Mutiara of Brew & Skittles ,the duo Sereni & Shentel ,the upcoming shoe designer RheaBenson ,  the exclusive myBatik , a very talented designer Justin Yap, the famous wedding dress designer with chiffon layered expertise Syahrir Nurdin and the young designer Nurul Wonder Wardrobe . We came to find out that the ambassador for this event was Tasha Shilla & she was so pretty in a long dress with 3d flower detailing..

Held at The Venue Pavilion, the event was supported by FashionValet and of course, the petite and bubbly Vivy Yusof was there too! Catwalk&Hanger had fun that night, we met up with few friends, mingle around with guests from different background, meet up with these talented designer, we were surrounded by beautiful Russian models and took loads of pictures of ourselves and our entourage of fellow fashion lovers. But we're unable to get good pictures of the charity dresses that night because it was too dark and we were using camera phone..sigh what a waste..but i assure you these designers are one to look out for.. their design are fresh yet classy very much to our liking..

OOTD: Monday blues turned Yellow!

Feeling perky and having positive thoughts fighting against the Monday blues, I've decided to add some colors to my normal office wear. Wearing all black (top and bottom) I threw in a bright yellow blazer to brighten up the mood and pair it with printed leopard scarf.

Mind my round face, I am loving my new Topshop easy to wear crayon eyeshadow, my pink blusher that look almost natural which blends in well with my skin and my pink lipstick, both from Clarins. It took me less than 5 minutes to apply these 3 items. Just put on some color and smudge them all over the eyes, the pink blusher that gives and instant lift to the face and a light pink lipstick , and I'm done! So for those who are interested can get yours at the you nearest counter!

Topshop crayon eyeshadow in Pewter RM33
Clarins lipstick Joli Rouge - 707 Petal Pink RM95 (I think)
Clarins blusher - Miami Pink RM105

The Oh! So pretty clutch and I'm in Love!

It was one of those moment when you know you fell in love, love at the very first sight. It happened a few weeks ago when I was browsing through facebook until I saw a post tagged by a friend. It was 'THE ' clutch that one must have because it is so irresistable. Del Mar,name given by the maker, Charlie Fa or commercially known as Charlie V. It's a handmade heavyweight cotton with matching lining, accentuated with acrylic and glass jewels, hand sewn piece by piece. It was carefully packaged in a box and comes with a custom made dust bag. Whats' so exclusive about it? Its limited edition and Charlie only make one for each collection . You can check her out here!

The packaging. It came in a box with a gold Charlie V stamped on it.

Comes with a dust bag! Charlie even left an instruction of how to take care of it!

And Ta Dah! Cool isn't it?

and I'm Loving It!

And finally, managed to get hold of our Miss Photographer, Zati and this is view from the front!

There are many ways to wear your turban. It all depends on your creativity and how comfortable are you in wearing them. Don't be afraid to try them on and just be confident about it, because the way you carry them tells what kind of character you are. We have seen more and more Hijabis nowadays wearing them including our very own Catwalk Hanger member, Nurul! Here are some of few turban styles that caught our eyes:

There are many ways of wearing turban, but for Catwalk & Hanger, one of the many inspirations came from queen of Qatar Sheikha Moza of Qatar. She managed to turn the turban look to be classy and trendy (inspite her many talents and qualification) She's a true beauty with brains and with good sense in fashion too!

What goes around comes around...

Around in a good way that is!
Have you heard of the Friendlyfashion website? It's place where people buy and sell, swap and even giveaway their preloved items.. As a fellow Catwalk&Hanger, I don't mind preloved, we started with preloved (read here)..I have to admit  my calling for preloved are unlimited, things like bag, shoes and accessories like necklace and bracelets and scarves and also not to mention certain type of clothes goes for me. Of course I do have my limits of accepting preloved (nothing too personal if you get my drift **wink**)...but the saying one man's trash is another man's treasure really hit ya..i mean sometimes that particular thing you really want is so expensive or soooo out of stock and the waiting list is just torturing you..and here comes another person who just wanna throw it away just because it doesn't match her shoe or bag or whatever..hey, why not you make money out of it and sell it to me.. !
The idea is so foreign to Malaysian yet out there you can find there as so many things people sell preloved hence existence of e-bays & mudah.com and the likes...  You can see there are thousands of clothes from ladies to men to babies and kids and even pets (soooo Paris Hilton yo..!) on their website, so much choice and to be honest based own own personal experience I found myself making friends with these fellow bargain hunting members..hands-down a great and very interactive website, really fast to update and reply to your queries and also they'd organised some pretty cool competition collaborating with local celebrity bloggers and such.. I suggest if you wanna read up about them go to their website here or read about them from the Women of Malaysia website here and about the two gorgeous sisters/ founder of the website here.
Anyways, last Saturday these gorgeous sisters made their way to invite members of the community to join them for an Ice Cream Party, a small gathering but yet so colorful and lively at The Bee, Publika.
Dear Nadzirah & Diyana, you guys are so gorgeous real life and you had brought along quite a friendly crowd together. Thanks for the Ice-Cream & the lovely Button and hope that you guys keep up the good job! Also if anybody is on frindlyfashion look me up and and like my profile please! Owh, and see if there's any hidden treasure for you..
